Job Title: Sales and Cashier Associate
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales and Cashier Associate. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service, assisting customers in finding the perfect furniture pieces, and ensuring a seamless checkout experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Assist customers in navigating the store, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
- Provide expert product knowledge to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain a tidy and organized sales floor, ensuring furniture displays are visually appealing and products are easily accessible.
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment transactions securely and in compliance with company policies.
- Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store.
- Stay up-to-date on current promotions, sales events, and product offerings to effectively communicate information to customers.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including restocking merchandise and conducting periodic inventory counts.
- Uphold company policies and procedures regarding customer service, safety, and security at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using a computerized POS system.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards customer service.
